This day came William C. Walker who was appointed administrator of the Estate of said Gideon Walker dec'd. He having made application for the same and Public Notice thereof having been given in the manner prescribed by Law. Whereupon it is ordered by the Court that Letters of Administration be issued to the said William C. Walker upon the Estate of said Gideon Walker Dec'd upon his giving bond and qualifying, as the law requires. And further it is ordered that said administrator make and return to this Court an Inventory and appriasement of the property belonging to the Estate of his Intestor as the Law requires whereupon James M. Price Arthur Edwards Wm C Bolton were appointed to appraise said property.


There being no further business, it is ordered that the Court adjourn until the next regular Term thereof.

Estate of Gideon Walker Dec'd


In the matter of the application of G.B. Reed for a Decree of title to Land.

This day came on this application to be heard and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that Gideon Walker dec'd in his lifetime did make and Execute unto one William C. Price his bond for title to the following described tract of Land, towit, a tract of land on Peach Creek in the District of Sutherland & County of Brazos, and on one third of a League of Land purchased by Gideon Walker of Robert Stephenson containing three hundred acres more or less and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a stake corner to William C. Price & James M. Price on the South, East & West lines of said League, Thence N 2020 Varas to a stake, Thence East 559 to a stake on William C. Walkers line, Thence South with said Walkers line 1010 Varas to a steak, Thence East 559 Varas to Gideon Walkers line, Thence with said line south to a dry creek, Thence with said creek

running a little West of south to the League line, Thence West with said line to the place of Beginning which Bond bears date 24th February 1844 and it also appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that the said William C. Price did on the 3rd May 1845 transfer by assignment all that portion of the above described tract of land lying south of Peach Creek, to one J.L. Cook and that the said JL Cook transferred all his right and interest in and to the said Tract of Land to the Petitioner GB Reed, by deed of transfer dated 31st day of January 1847, all of which transfers together with the original Bond of Gideon Walker to W.C. Price are duly recorded in the County Clerks office of Brazos County and are now on file in this Court. It is therefore ordered, adjudged and decreed by the Court that William C. Walker the now acting and recognised administrator of said Deceased, do make unto the Petitioner G.B. Reed a good and efficient title in fee simple to that portion of the above described tract of Land lying south of Peach Creek with such Warranty as the Law allow's and requires in such cases. Also This day came William C. Walker administrator of said Gideon Walker Dec'd and returned to Court an Inventory & appraisement of the property belonging to the Estate of said Gideon Walker Dec'd. Which being Examined by the Court is approved and ordered to Filed - recorded by the Clerk

Walker, administrator of the Estate of said Gideon Walker and his motion; it is ordered by the Court that said administrator be and he is hereby authorised and impowered to dispose of all the cattle belonging to the Estate of said Gideon Walker dec'd, for cash at private or public

sale at his discretion for the purpose of raising a sufficient fund to pay the Expenses of said administrator and further it is ordered by the court that said administrator make returns of said sale so soon as the same shall have been effected, as the Law requires.


There being no further business before the Court, it is ordered that the Court adjourn until the next Regular Term thereof.
