March 1826 John Walker's Will In the name of God Amen I John Walker of the County of Rutherford and State of North carolina being Sick and very low in body but of a Sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be god I do this second Day of February in the year of our Lord--1826 make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say, I give unto my beloved Son Jeremiah Walker at my Death all my Land and all my perishable property and my household goods and working tools, to take care and maintain me and my wife Anne as long as we both do live and pay all my just Debts and I hereby make and ordain my worthy Son Jeremiah Walker executory of this my last will and testament Witness whereof the Said John Walker have to this my last will and testament Set my hand and Seal the day and year above written. Signed Sealed published and declared by the Said John (x) Walker John Walker the testater; as his last will and testament in the presence of us who were present at the time of Signing and sealing thereof
